New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp
Serves 4
1/4 pound of bacon diced
1 small yellow onion diced
1/4 pound butter
1/4 cup dijon mustard
4 cloves garlic finely minced
1 tbl chili powder
1 tsp cayene pepper
1 tsp dry basil
1 tsp dry oregano
1 tsp dry thyme
24 16-20 to a pound shrimp, shelled, cleaned, tail on
In a large frying pan on medium high heat, add bacon. Cook bacon to almost crisp then add onion. Cook onion to translucent.
Add butter, mustard and next 6 ingredients. When butter is finally melted, add shrimp. Toss and cook until
cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes. Serve with rice.
